Originally recorded as part of a 12-week YouTube video series of improvised music, the eight tracks that comprise In the Absence of Light: Music for Electronics & Console Guitar have been remastered and reconstructed as a suite of evocative, expressionistic sound paintings.

The music was created live in my home studio using MIDI-controlled virtual instruments and samples alongside effects-processed console guitar drones. It was recorded and mixed directly to a single stereo track, with all sounds routed through the mixer of an old Tascam 4-track to create a unified, lo-fi atmosphere.
